Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Pilot Sight ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these
Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These
Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Pilot Sight ("we," "us,"
or "our").
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App
following notice of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of the App
Pilot Sight is a vehicle management and automotive community platform that allows users to:
• Create and manage accounts with a public social profile;
• Track personal vehicles, equipment, watercraft, and aircraft, including maintenance
records, service history, receipts, photos, and specifications;
• Manage vehicle blueprints and parts lists;
• Log and track events with location data and photos;
• Use AI-powered tools to scan and extract VIN numbers from images and parse
automotive receipts;
• Decode VINs using the NHTSA VPIC API to retrieve vehicle specifications;
• Build and share a public CV/resume profile including events, projects, certifications, and
job history;
• Follow other users, share posts, like content, and interact with a social feed;
• Transfer vehicle records to other registered users;
• Save preferred service shop information;
• Access premium features through in-app purchases or subscriptions;
• Submit feedback to the Pilot Sight team.
The App connects to Firebase services (Google LLC) for authentication, data storage, and file
storage, and to Google AI services for AI-powered image analysis features.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use Pilot Sight. By creating an account, you represent
and warrant that:
• You are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction);
• You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
• All information you provide is accurate and complete.
If you are under the age of 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian
consent to use the App.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To use certain features of Pilot Sight, you must create an account. You are responsible for
maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under
your account.
4.2 Account Security
You agree to:
• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration;
• Maintain the security of your password;
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account;
• Not share your account credentials with any third party.
4.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, with or without
notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third
parties.
5. Vehicle Data and User Content
5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all vehicle data, details, and other content you submit or upload through
the App ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide,
royalty-free license to store, process, and display such content solely for the purpose of
operating and delivering the App's services to you. We do not use your User Content to train AI
or machine learning models.
5.2 Shared Content
When you choose to share vehicle data, posts, or profile information with other users:
• You acknowledge that shared content becomes accessible to those designated users or,
for public posts, to all users of the App;
• You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you share;
• You may revoke sharing permissions at any time through the App's settings;
• Content you have already shared with other users may not be fully removable after the
fact.
5.3 Accuracy of Vehicle Details
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all vehicle information
you enter, including but not limited to VINs, mileage, service records, license plate numbers,
and modification details. Pilot Sight does not verify the accuracy of user-submitted vehicle data.
5.4 AI-Processed Content
• Images are sent to Google's servers for analysis and are subject to Google's Terms of
Service and Privacy Policy;
• AI-generated results (extracted VINs, parsed receipt data) may not be 100% accurate;
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-extracted data before relying on it;
• Pilot Sight is not liable for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in AI-generated results;
• You should not submit images containing sensitive personal information beyond what is
necessary for the feature (e.g., do not submit images of government-issued IDs or
financial documents other than automotive receipts).
5.5 Vehicle Transfers
The App allows you to transfer ownership of a vehicle record to another registered user. When
initiating or accepting a vehicle transfer:
• The transferring user acknowledges that the vehicle record and all associated data will
be moved to the recipient's account;
• Both parties are responsible for ensuring the transfer is authorized and accurate;
• Pilot Sight is not responsible for disputes arising from vehicle transfers between users;
• Transfers are processed through the App and are subject to both parties' acceptance.
5.3 Content Standards
You agree not to submit content that is false, misleading, or inaccurate; infringes any third-party
intellectual property rights; contains malicious code or harmful data; or violates any applicable
law or regulation.
• Is false, misleading, fraudulent, or inaccurate (including falsified vehicle records, mileage,
or service history);
• Infringes any third-party intellectual property rights;
• Contains malicious code or harmful data;
• Is abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable;
• Violates any applicable law or regulation;
• Includes personal information of other individuals without their consent.
6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
6.1 Purchases
Pilot Sight may offer in-app purchases and/or subscription plans that provide access to premium
features. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's
applicable payment terms and conditions.
6.2 Pricing and Billing
• Prices for in-app purchases and subscriptions are displayed in the App prior to purchase;
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of
the current billing period;
• Your Apple ID account will be charged upon confirmation of purchase;
• Subscription management and cancellation can be performed through your Apple ID
account settings.
6.3 Refunds
All purchases are generally non-refundable. Refund requests are subject to Apple's refund
policies. We do not have the ability to directly issue refunds for App Store purchases. Please
contact Apple Support for refund inquiries.
6.4 Free Trials
If a free trial is offered, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the
end of the trial period unless cancelled before the trial ends.
6.5 Changes to Pricing
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. We will provide reasonable
notice of any price changes. Your continued use of a subscription after a price change
constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
7. Social Features and Community Guidelines
7.1 Social Features
Pilot Sight includes social features including public profiles, a social feed, posts, likes, a follow/
follower system, user search, and notifications. By using these features, you agree to interact
with other users respectfully and in accordance with these Terms.
7.2 Public Content
Content you post to the social feed may be visible to other users of the App based on your
privacy settings. You are solely responsible for what you choose to post publicly.
7.3 Following and Followers
You may follow other users and be followed by others. Users with private accounts must
approve follow requests. You may block or remove followers at any time through the App's
settings.
7.4 Content Reporting
If you encounter content that violates these Terms, you may report it using the in-app reporting
feature. We will review reported content and take appropriate action, which may include removal
of content or suspension of the offending account. We are not obligated to remove content that
does not violate these Terms.
7.5 CV/Resume Profile
You may optionally create a public CV/resume profile including professional history,
certifications, events, and location information. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of
your CV profile. By making your CV public, you acknowledge that it will be visible to other users
of the App in accordance with your privacy settings.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws;
• Submit false, fraudulent, or fabricated vehicle data, service records, mileage, or other
information;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App or its infrastructure;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App;
• Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to access or interact with the App;
• Impersonate another person, entity, or vehicle owner;
• Harvest or collect other users' personal information without consent;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App;
• Use the AI scanning features to process images of other individuals without their
consent;
• Initiate or accept vehicle transfers without proper authorization;
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users through the App's social features;
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
9. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in and to the App, including but not limited to software, design,
graphics, trademarks, and content created by us, are owned by or licensed to Pilot Sight.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or
otherwise exploit any of our intellectual property without our prior written consent.
10. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these services is subject
to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices
or content of any third-party services.
• Firebase / Google LLC: authentication, cloud database (Firestore), and file storage —

• Google AI (Gemini) / Google LLC: AI-powered image analysis for VIN scanning and

11. Location Services
The App may request access to your device's location to support event location search features.
Location access is optional. You may grant or revoke location permissions at any time through
your iOS device settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services). Denying location
access will not prevent you from using the App's core features.
12. Data Export and Account Deletion
You may export a copy of your data at any time using the data export feature in the App's
account settings. You may also delete your account and associated data through the App's account settings. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on data retention following
account deletion.
13. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY
KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR
FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
AI-GENERATED RESULTS, INCLUDING VIN EXTRACTIONS AND RECEIPT PARSING, ARE
PROVIDED FOR CONVENIENCE ONLY AND MAY CONTAIN ERRORS. PILOT SIGHT
MAKES NO WARRANTY AS TO THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF
ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL AI-
EXTRACTED DATA.
VEHICLE DATA DECODED VIA THE NHTSA VPIC API IS PROVIDED BY A THIRD-PARTY
GOVERNMENT SERVICE. PILOT SIGHT MAKES NO WARRANTY AS TO THE ACCURACY
OR COMPLETENESS OF SUCH DATA.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PILOT SIGHT SHALL NOT
BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE
DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR
LOSS OF GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO
THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12)
MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pilot Sight and its officers, directors,
employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses,
including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the
App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
16. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in and to the App, including but not limited to software, design,
graphics, trademarks, and content created by us, are owned by or licensed to Pilot Sight.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in our intellectual property.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or
otherwise exploit any of our intellectual property without our prior written consent.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of
California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out
of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either
party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
18. Changes to the App
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any
time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification,
suspension, or discontinuation of the App or its features.
