Pilot Sight ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy
explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS
mobile application, Pilot Sight ("the App").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices
described in this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not
access or use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account and use Pilot Sight, we may collect the following information:
• Account information: name, email address, and password;
• Profile information: username, biography, and profile photo;
• Vehicle information: make, model, year, VIN, etc.;
• Vehicle data: maintenance records, service history, photos, documents;
• Blueprint/parts data: vehicle parts and modifications;
• Event data: titles, dates, notes, photos, and location;
• CV/Resume data: projects, certifications, job history;
• Preferred shop information: shop details;
• User-generated content: posts, notes, and feedback.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the App, we may automatically collect:
• Device information: device type, OS, identifiers;
• Usage data: features accessed and time spent;
• Log data: IP, access times, crashes;
• Presence data: online/offline status;
• Analytics: Firebase usage metrics.
2.3 Information from Third-Party Services
Includes Firebase (Google), Google AI (Gemini), NHTSA VPIC API, and Apple MapKit/
CoreLocation. We use Firebase (Google LLC) for authentication, database, and storage
services. When you sign in or use the App, Firebase may collect additional technical information
in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
• Account management: to create and manage your account, authenticate your identity,
and provide customer support;
• App functionality: to store your vehicle data, enable sharing features, and deliver the core
services of the App;
• AI-powered features: to process images you submit for VIN scanning and receipt
analysis using Google's AI services;
• In-app purchases: to process and manage your purchases, subscriptions, and billing
through Apple's App Store;
• App improvement: to understand how users interact with the App, identify bugs, and
improve features;
• Communications: to send you service-related notifications, updates, and support
responses;
• Legal compliance: to comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal obligations;
• Safety and security: to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized
activity.
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
4.1 Sharing with Other Users
Pilot Sight includes features that allow you to share vehicle data and details with other
registered users. When you choose to share content:
• The designated users will be able to view the information you share;
• You control what information is shared and with whom through the App's settings;
• You may revoke sharing permissions at any time.
4.2 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App,
including:
• Firebase / Google LLC: for authentication, cloud database (Firestore), and file storage;
• Apple Inc.: for in-app purchase processing and App Store distribution.
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the
purposes for which it was disclosed.
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal
process, such as a subpoena, court order, or government demand, or when we believe
disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Pilot Sight, our users, or the
public.
4.4 Business Transfers
If Pilot Sight is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your
information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a
prominent notice in the App prior to any such transfer.
4.5 No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing or
advertising purposes.
5. Data Storage and Security
5.1 Data Storage
Your data is stored on Firebase servers operated by Google LLC. Firebase stores data in
secure data centers and may store data in multiple geographic regions for redundancy and
performance. By using the App, you consent to the transfer and storage of your data on
Firebase infrastructure.
5.2 Security Measures
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
• Encryption of data in transit using SSL/TLS protocols;
• Firebase Security Rules to restrict unauthorized access to your data;
• Authentication controls to verify user identity;
• Regular security assessments and monitoring.
5.3 Security Limitations
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we
cannot guarantee its absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of
your account credentials.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to
provide you with the App's services. You may delete your account and associated data at any
time through the App's account settings.
Even after account deletion, some information may be retained for a limited period as required
by law, for legitimate business purposes such as dispute resolution, or as residual copies in
backup systems. We will delete or anonymize such information as soon as reasonably
practicable.
7. Your Rights and Choices
7.1 Access and Correction
You may access and update your personal information at any time through the App's account
settings. If you believe any information we hold about you is inaccurate, you may request
correction by contacting us.
7.2 Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal data by using the account deletion
feature in the App or by contacting us at support@pilotsight.net. Please note that deletion may
not remove content you have already shared with other users.
7.3 Opting Out
You may opt out of certain data collection by:
• Disabling analytics through your device settings;
• Limiting ad tracking through iOS privacy settings (Settings > Privacy > Tracking);
• Contacting us to request specific data processing restrictions.
7.4 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer
Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to
request deletion, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. To

Pilot Sight is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal
information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that
information promptly.

9. In-App Purchases and Financial Data
All payment processing for in-app purchases and subscriptions is handled exclusively by Apple
through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or process your payment card information.
Apple's Privacy Policy governs the collection and use of your payment information.
We receive only limited transaction confirmation data from Apple, including the type of purchase
made and the date of transaction, which we use solely to unlock purchased features in the App.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the
privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies. This
Privacy Policy applies only to information collected by Pilot Sight.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for
legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting
the updated Privacy Policy in the App and updating the effective date at the top of this
document.
Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your
acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
